Richard N. Landers, Ph.D.

Richard is an Assistant Professor of Industrial/Organizational Psychology and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota. His major research interests include web-based training and educational programs, unproctored internet testing, training through augmented reality, social networks and online communities, and virtual worlds as training systems.

Craig obtained his Master's degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. His research interests include the contingencies of technology-based training, customer service orientation, organizational justice, and situational judgment tests.

Kristina N. Baur, M.S. (2011-)

Kristina earned her B.S. in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006, a M.A. in HRM from the George Washington University in 2008, and a M. S. in Psychology from Old Dominion University in 2009. Kristina is currently a doctoral student working on her dissertation. Her primary research interests include self-regulated learning and technology enabled instruction.

Robert C. Brusso, M.S. (2011-)

Robbie received his B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Tech in 2007 and his M.S. in Psychology from ODU in 2010. Robbie joined TNTLab in Fall 2011 after working under Dr. Karin Orvis from 2007 – 2011. His interests include T&D (with a focus on tech-based training), goal-setting in training, quantitative methods, and emerging tech in personnel and organizational research.

Rachel C. Callan (née Johnson) (2009-)

Rachel received her B.S. in Psychology from Penn State University in 2007. She is currently a doctoral student at Old Dominion University under Dr. Richard Landers. Her research interests include training and selection (particularly selection testing) but she is also open to other areas of I/O as her schooling continues.

Katelyn J. Cavanaugh (2010-)

Katelyn is a student in the I/O doctoral program at Old Dominion University. She graduated from the University of Delaware in 2008 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. After graduating, she worked as a Research Assistant in the Psychiatry Department at Drexel University College of Medicine. Her research interests include training and technology.

Corey is a student in the I/O doctoral program at Old Dominion University. He received his B.A. in Psychology from Penn State University in 2009. His current research interests include technology in training and social networks and online communities.

Erica Beer (2011-)

Erica is an undergraduate student at Old Dominion University double majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Her major interest is in abnormal psychology. After she graduates in May 2012, she plans on attending graduate school to study clinical or counseling psychology. She is also a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity and is the Vice President of Recruitment for Panhellenic Council.


Chris Donaldson (2011-)

Chris is an undergraduate student at Old Dominion University majoring in psychology. He also received his B.S. in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University. After he graduates in 2012, he plans to attend graduate school to study I/O psychology. His research interests include technology-based and blended learning models as well as positive psychology in the workplace.


Bethany Doyle (2011-)

Bethany is an undergraduate student at Old Dominion University majoring in Psychology and minoring in Human Services. After graduating in May 2012, she plans to attend graduate school to study counseling. Her career interests are in military psychology.


Charles Glover (2011-)

Charles is an undergraduate student at ODU, planning on majoring in psychology and earning a second major in Human Services. After obtaining a bachelor's degree, he plans to further his education by getting a Master's in I/O Psychology and a Ph.D. in Psychology some day.


Tamara Gould (2011-, part of the 2011 URAP program)

Tamara is an undergraduate student at Old Dominion University majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology. She plans to graduate in 2013. Directly after graduation she plans to attend graduate school with a focus in I/O Psychology.


Ciara Jones (2011-, part of the 2011 URAP program)

Ciara is an undergrad who will recieve her B.S in Psychology in August 2011, after which she is going to graduate school to study I/O psychology. Her research interests are leadership and work-family conflict, and she plans to work in a consulting firm after the Ph.D.


Kaila Kea (2011-)

Kaila is an undergraduate psychology major at Old Dominion University. She plans to graduate in 2014 and would like to attend graduate school. In the mean time, she will be exploring different aspects of the psychology field in an effort to find a focus that suits her.


Blair Labudovich (2011-)

Blair is an undergraduate student at Old Dominion University majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology. After graduating in May 2013, she plans to attend graduate school to study counseling. Her career interests are in metal illness research.


Lisa Lacross (2011-)

Lisa is currently an undergrad student at ODU majoring in psychology and minoring Military Leadership. Upon graduation in May 2013, she will earn her commission as an Officer in the United States Navy. She plans on continuing her education in psychology and obtaining her masters. Her current interests are in the area of I/O psychology.


Shannon Mullen (2011-)

Shannon is an undergraduate student at Old Dominion University studying Psychology. After she graduates in 2012, she is planning to attend graduate school focusing on I/O and later working toward a doctoral degree. Her research interests include web-based training, internet testing, and virtual training systems.


Jon-Paul Palacio (2011-, part of the 2011URAP program)

Jon-Paul is an undergraduate student majoring in Psychology. He plans to attend graduate school to further his education in Clinical Psychology. He also holds an interest in I/O Psychology and plans to enter both fields.


Wanda Smith (2011-)

Wanda received her AA&S degree in Business Administration at Paul D. Camp community college in 2010. She is now an undergraduate student at Old Dominion University majoring in Psychology with an emphasis in Industrial/Organizational psychology. After graduation in 2013, she plans to enter graduate school to pursue a Ph.D in I/O.


Nicole Vladu (2010-)

Nicole received her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Training and Development from Old Dominion University in May 2010. She is interested in continuing her educational journey in graduate school focusing on I/O psychology; fields of interest are training & development, performance appraisals, and assessment.

Lindsey Chase (2010-2011)

Lindsey is an undergraduate student at Old Dominion University double majoring in Psychology and Human Services. Her major interest is in abnormal psychology. After she graduates in 2012, she plans on attending graduate school to study Clinical Psychology.


Ben Davison (2009-2010)

Ben is an undergraduate studying Psychology at Old Dominion University. He would later like to focus in I/O in graduate school. His broad I/O interests include leadership, organizational development and organizational change.


Emily Garza (2009-2010)

Emily is an undergraduate student majoring in psychology with a strong interest in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She plans on moving to Washington DC upon graduating in May 2010 and attending graduate school to further her education of I/O Psychology.


Jamila Goodall (2011, part of the 2011 URAP program)

Jamila is an undergraduate student at Old Dominion University majoring in Psychology. After graduating, she plans to attend graduate school to study Clinical Psychology. In addition to her interest in adolescent psychology she also holds an interest in I/O psychology.


Elizabeth Mahek (2011, part of the 2011 URAP program)

Elizabeth is an undergraduate student at Old Dominion University majoring in Psychology. After she graduates in 2014, she plans to attend graduate school and pursue a career in military psychology.


Brittany Loman (2011)

Brittany is an undergraduate majoring in Psychology with an emphasis in I/O and she is minoring in management.  She will be receiving her bachelor's degree in December 2011.  She is interested in working in the field of Human Resources.  She plans on furthering her education in psychology by attending grad school soon after graduation in December.  She is also a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda National Honors and Leadership Organization.


Will Miehe (2011)

Will is an undergraduate majoring in psychology and minoring in marketing; he will receive his B. S. in May 2011. His career interest lay in entrepreneurship and is considering pursuing an MBA after graduation.


Arthur Singleton (2009-2010)

Arthur received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Virginia in 2008. He is currently working for the federal government as a Human Resource Specialist with the Department of Navy. His interests include work motivation and training but he is open to getting as much exposure as possible to the I/O field.


Joanna Stone (2011)

Joanna is an undergraduate student at Old Dominion University majoring in psychology and is planning on attending graduate school after graduating. Her major interests revolve around abnormal psychology and behavioral psychology. Some of her major research interests are web-based training, training via augmented and virtual worlds, situational judgement testing, and more.
